Who foots the bill for the bridal shower?

its supposed to be the bridal party and maybe the mother...now a days its whoever wants to lol. usually the mom

I think alot of the time the bridesmaids pitch in...and the mother handles alot of hit. That's what I did for my sister's. Each girl chipped in a certian amount and my mom covered the rest

Generally the mother pays, but really it depends on everyone's financial situation. I was lucky with all the showers I was in...I really didn't have to foot too much of the bill. As MOH for my SIL's shower, I paid for all of the games and decorations...my mom paid for the food. My aunt provided her house to hold the shower. I think everyone pitches in here and there nowadays.

I think its mostly going to by my MOH and the bp...Im not sure my mom can afford to help too much.

With my sister's my mom wanted to pick the place and menu so she paid for it and the bp did a few smaller things...like the decorations, favors

Well mines gonna be either at my Dad's house or my Matron's house. I would rather it that way. I once went to a baby shower at a restaurant where they served a 3 course meal on a Saturday afternoon. You can imagine how boring that was...

typically it the brides mother and the bridal party. Now a days its both mothers and bp chipping in to help pay.
My mom wants to do the whole thing by herself though. To many hands in the pot isnt a good situation, especially if people dont know your every want and need...

I'm sure my BP hasn't talked about but I'm sure it will be my mom that pays. My BP is pretty young..my cousins are only in college and my sister is 13, so I don't think they can afford to pay for it!

i think it really depends, it used to be way back in the day the bridal party responsibility...but i know my mother will be paying for it, i don't think now a days anyone expects the bridal party to pay, i think it just depends on your financial situation.
