My mom is throwing me my shower and wants it to be a surprise but she asked me to get her ideas/names of what I want and how I want my shower to be. I gave her ideas of my cake, and small but cute centerpieces (nothing fancy) but I'm having a hard time with favors. I want something every girl can use, nothing thats house related. I was thinking of doing either chevron cosmetic bags or girly painted wine glasses but those are up there in price and I don't want my mom spending too much.
My friends have given shawls and compact mirror for their shower which I thought was girly and different. What have you ladies picked out?

What was this, like after 12 years -- we will get married 'when pigs fly'? LMAO!
My save the date was a picture of a flying pig and it said 'Lindsay & bryan are getting married' then at the bottom it said ' would ya look at that, pigs really do fly!'
And ever since then whenever my friends find something flying pig related they buy it for us. Even my ffil bought us a Christmas lawn ornament that was a flying pig

We did compact mirrors and Pashminas. They tied the pashminas to the chairs to look like sashes and everyone got to take one home they looked really pretty

I like a lot of the ideas that were mentioned before this.
Edible stuff is always good... cookies, cake pops, truffles, etc.
You could do personalized nail files (i am ALWAYS looking for one)
Have you looked at Oriental Trading Wedding? They have a lot of options.
What's your theme like? For one of my sisters we did a 'tea party' theme and gave out tea and diffusers. Bath salts or other bath products would be good too. If you do a garden theme you could give out flower seeds or even small potted plants.

The also have the cute purse hooks (so you don't put your purse on the floor).
For my friends shower last year we bought mini wine bottles and printed labels from Staples 'Melissa's Shower 9/9/12' with an umbrella design and tied ribbons around the neck of the bottles. They were a huge hit and because we bought 3 cases we got a discount and paid only $1.50 a bottle.

For my friends shower last year, we made candles in champagne glasses. Some vanilla and some strawberry and cream. They were really easy to make, I think we made like 150 on a Sunday Afternoon.
We got the glasses from restaurant depot and the candle supplies from ac moore. THe candles even had bubbles so it like realistic!
