My mom is throwing me my shower and wants it to be a surprise but she asked me to get her ideas/names of what I want and how I want my shower to be. I gave her ideas of my cake, and small but cute centerpieces (nothing fancy) but I'm having a hard time with favors. I want something every girl can use, nothing thats house related. I was thinking of doing either chevron cosmetic bags or girly painted wine glasses but those are up there in price and I don't want my mom spending too much.
My friends have given shawls and compact mirror for their shower which I thought was girly and different. What have you ladies picked out?

For my sister's shower we did candles. They were from Walmart ($1) and had the top like Yankee candle. We took the stickers off and used regular mailing labels saying her name bridal shower and date. We also added a cute umbrella design. We purchased ribbon from Michael's at $0.50 a roll and tied a bow around the top. They were cute and a big hit. They have a ton of colors and I like the scents. We also did chocolate lollipops.

My mom works for Estee lauder so she gave out Mac and Bobbi Brown make up bags. I wish I did that as wedding favors instead, they were such a hit!

I made these for christmas and gave them out as gifts. everyone loved them.

That's a nice idea. I love candles!!! What girl doesn't? I might want to do cake pops too. I love any chocolate goodie.

Lol I should watch that movie with my mom and tell her that's what everyone does now for bridal showers. She is an old school Italian and the last wedding and probably shower she went to was 15 yrs ago. LMAO I'm going to tell her puppies is the way to go!

OMG that's what I wanted to do but when I started pricing stuff out it got to be to much so I stop at the cosmetic bag .

My mom is doing umbrellas for mine... She was able to get them online through a wholesale website for under $3 a piece... Its definitely something everyone will be able to use!
