How much is appropriate to spend? She's my fi's future sister in law (and mine). This is actually the first bridal shower I will ever be going to. I asked my fi what he thinks I should spend, and he said 'I don't know, ask your friends on LI Weddings :)!!!

For example, I spent $200 on my cousin but only $50 on a person who is not a close friend.It's really the thought that counts, you may get her something like a book signed by her favorite author that cost $50, but to her it is price less!In the past I have also chipped in on a gift and we bought something bigger.Good luck! how close are you? Im not really close to fh's sil b/c they live in arizona, but if it were my bil (if they had showers) fh would get him something nicer, b/c they hang out much more often... I think $50-100 is fine...
