yes the pp should be different. We had our e-party at a smaller room at the Inn @ New Hyde Park. Full 5 hour thing...cocktail hour and then served dinner with open bar...I wanna say it was like $45 or $50 per person.
edited: just saw ur post about INHP being $80....ours was prob that price bc it was a sunday afternoon in December.

Re: bridal shower locations
It should be- a big difference is the time of day. Usually showers are held on Sunday/Saturday mornings. No one is having a wedding that day, so it would decrease the price. Besides, every time a place hears wedding they instantly jack up the price.

Re: bridal shower locations
If you are looking at reception halls like the wedding from what I hear they are not too much less per person than the wedding which makes me nervous. But Im sure u can find a nice affordable place. When are u looking to have ur shower?

I think they will be different. Shower will not require as many servers, less food, different types of food, not as long, held during the day and not at night.

Re: bridal shower locations
the problem is, we can expect anwyhere from 30-70 people. which seemed to annoy every1 at the restaurants.
i went to vilal d'este(somethin like that) inn at nhp and Jonathans <~~ limited menu and i saw they also own this dinner on queens blvd ,which made me cringe . thats like Saks advertising kmart. lol
basically same food just double the price cuz the outside fo the place looks soooo hot
