Hey,my Mom and I are trying to find an inexpensive but nice place to host my bridal shower. We prefer Suffolk County and any ideas would help.
Thanks

We had my sister's shower at The Fifth Season in Port Jefferson. It was reasonable and everything was great.

Personally, we tried to keep our shower as affordable as possible. Since so much money was being invested into the wedding, I did not see nor understand why a shower should be amount the location or food. I was more interested in the company. We decided to rent out our clubhouse. We are making decorations and food. Overall, it sounds like it should be more fun than sitting in a restaurant not really being able to mingle. The cost is so much more affordable. It's just an idea if you wanted to keep prices down.

My shower was at Beachtree Restaurant in East Islip and it was great! I believe a buffet brunch on Sunday was about $25-30 pp.

We hosted a shower for my sister at a fire department, they have rooms for events like this that will accommodate a fair amount of people plus have fridge/oven/stove if you needed it. It worked really well for us because we had a lot of family who were willing to help and cook. I've also been to one at a fire department that was catered by a local restaurant and from what I understand was still a very cost effective way to throw a shower.

Agree with this. As someone who waitresses/bartends on the side for a catering company I can say that it can be more cost effective than a restaurant
