My sister (and MOH) mentioned last night that for my shower she wanted her 3 yr old twin girls there (My FG's). I love them to death but i really dont want them to be there. IMO it is just for adults. They are not well behaved at all. I think it would turn into a disaster especially since my sister has a habit of not watching her kids at parties and just letting them do whatever they want. Am I being selfish by not wanting them there???

Why does she want them there? You'd think she'd welcome a break!

I don't think you're being selfish at all. I had no children at my shower or wedding. Maybe since they're FGs they can be there for a little while then have someone take them home?

I didn't know what to say... I was shocked!! Oh did I mention That she also has a 4 month old?? My mother almost had a heart attack when she mentioned it

Your sister will not be able to keep an eye on her kids and no one else should have to.

It's your shower and you should be able to tell your sister how you feel. your allowed to be selfish its your party...your sister already had her shower!

I guess being a mom myself I see things differently. I am welcoming my friends to bring their kids to the shower but I'm giving them all the boot after...that's when my bachelorette party begins!
