bridal shower ... when do you think yours will be ..... is it too early

i was wondering when everyone is thinking there shower will be ... i was invited to a shower for the end of this month for someone who is getting married in Jan. at first i was like wow its early but then i thought well i guess its more convient for guests .... now they dont have to spend money on a shower gift then like month later have to buy a wedding gift ... i figure it gives people more time in between to save or not spend a lot of money at once ... now i am thinking about telling my mom and BBP to planit for like 5-6 months before the wedding ... do you think thats crazy?

I think thats EARLY. I figure it will be a month and a half/two months before?

I do not think it is crazy at all. Mine will probably be in April and I am getting married in July

well... i'm getting married in March so it'll probobly be in January or February I'd think...

I'm not sure... it probably depends on when I have a break and will be able to come home, so it might be in like April... but I think FH's mom is going to throw one for me in Pittsburgh for his family too, so I don't know when that one will be!

I have no idea whatsoever but starting January 1st 2008 I will not be going out anywhere without my makeup all pretty and hair did

not having one for family and friends but i know the girls at work are making one for me - i think sometime in Novemer
probably election day because its staff only, no kids

I think possibly April. We have to wait and see because there is another family wedding in May and we will be scheduling around her shower, and in May we have my niece's communion and my 30th birthday.

hahaha I told my MOH that for 3 months before my wedding I'm going to wear a dress every saturday and sunday afternoon just in case!

i think having it earlier is better for guests ... i know i am happy that that one i am going to was this far away i spent a lot on the gifts and then if i had to come up with a couple hundred dollars a month or so later would have suckked!!! ... so thats why i think it might be better for guests money wise ...

I just went to one where the wedding is Oct.

I don't know when mine will be. My Mom is saying a month before the wedding, but I told her i should be sooner b/c there will be a lot to do the month before. Maybe January????

My shower will either be this month (3 months b/f wedding) or in September (1 month b/f wedding) because my mom will be away for the month of August.

I believe the 'norm' is 1-3 months before the wedding with most showers being 2-3 months before.

My best friend is getting married August 19th and her shower was June 2nd. My FSIL is getting married on August 4th and hers was on April 23rd. FSIL has a new house and I guess wanted her stuff settled in so she knew what to buy before they moved in. I want to do the same thing....I'm hoping that for a shower in March or early April so that we can put everything away and buy what we need before we move in. That would be 3 1/2 to 4 months before our wedding then.

i'm hoping mine will be like 3-4 months before.. because when it gets down to the last two months..not only will i probably be driving myself nuts with the little things and the day being so close, but i know i'll be expecting it everytime FH or my Girls tell me to be someplace, and i kind of want to be totally taken off guard with it.. im not telling anyone that but my mom though..maybe she will pass it along!
