I see alot of girls here have input for their showers- but I always thought it was supposed to be a surprise. The girls that are helping with their showers are you going to act surprised?

im helping my mom plan it, like were scouting out all these places (im coming up with the list for her cuz no o ne else is hhelping of course), but ulitmately i dont know which she'll pick or what date so its kinda like a surprise

Mine is going to be a surprise. All I know is that my mom and FMIL are doing it together and that I gave them a guest list. Other than that...I'm completely in the dark.

I am not really helping with my shower but I did ask to know the date so that I can get my hair and nails done. I am also giving my girls invite options because I am very particular and I like things to look a certain way. I know that they will do a great job because they know my style but I still throw in some ideas here and there. In a way I will be surpriesd because eventhough I know the date I still have no idea where it is or what the theme is so I will be be surprised....

Mine will be I work weekends SO I would love to see how they will pull this off. I walked in to my living room the other day and my mother stopped talking and said Hi Jen with a grin and walked outside I looked at the caller id she was on the phone with my aunt - so they are plotting something-LOL

My mom thinks I should act surprised but I probably won't. Everybody knows that I know. lol. I helped them plan it out mainly because FH is adopted by a spanish family and I wanted to help my mom pick a place that has a variety of food that I know everybody would like. Also because my best friend (and BM) lives in New Hampshire and she's coming down the weekend of Halloween and I really wanted her to be able to make it and she has such a hectic schedule in NH, so we chose that weekend so she could be there.

I know the name of the place and the date but I dont know the theme for the shower or the invites and I have never been to that restaurant so I will be surprised in that way.

i have to plan the entire thing. my mom feels aweful but she really is clueless....
yesterday she calls me to tell me to make sure i dont loose the RSVPs ppl have been mailing back..so we can give them to the RH so they know who will be coming to my shower, so they can use them to tell people where to sit

The only thing im involved in is the guest list, and I picked the favors... i dont know where or when it is... but its not for a while yet so that could change...

Since my mom and sister (who is my MOH) live out of town, and the only other person in my wedding party is my best friend (she lives here), I'm sure I won't be surprised.
Considering that the other night my best friend and I were talking about it and I said 'yeah, I'd really like it at Austin Ale House...HINT HINT...and they have a nice brunch buffet for showers...HINT HINT', I guess I've involved myself.
I may act surprised though. I'd like to see them pull it off without my knowledge, but I don't see it happening.

Mine was suppose to be a complete surprise. They showed me the invitation (pre-printing) to get my ok and the favors. I gave them a guest list also BUT people are not as discrete as they think there are. I think I know which weekend my shower is going to be but as of now it's a surprise.

i mean really.... is it really a surprise? we know its coming or else we wouldnt have registered
most likely it will be at my house. but thats only because its the biggest. plus i dont want anyone spending money on a restaurant.

Actually I registered even though my mom told me I am NOT having a shower. (she ephasized the not). Since i am not having a BP I am not expecting my MOH to give me one on her own. I did tell the people at work I want one though.
