Bridal Showers

I see alot of girls here have input for their showers- but I always thought it was supposed to be a surprise.
The girls that are helping with their showers are you going to act surprised?

it doesn't always have to be a surprise. I would like mine to be a surprise, but I already told my mother that I want it to be at her house because I don't want her or my BM's spending a lot of $$ renting out a hall or restaurant.

The only request I made of my mother is that I NEED to have my Napoleon cake from Il Toscano on Douglaston Parkway.

Girls if you have not been there, you have to go if only for this cake!!!

I not so subtly hinted to my MOH where I wanted it. Sent her the guest list, printed the invitations at work, bought the favors...

So nope, I'm not gonna act surprised. Everyone is gonna know that I planned it cuz my MOH is clueless about this stuff.

i wanted it to be a suprise but im too much of a control freak so i actually wanna plan my shower lol we'll see what happens

mine is not a surprise... i just figured we all now we are having one atleast let me dress and look the way i want. i am impossible to surprise anyway, so i figured it was not worth it for everyone to try!!!! LOL
BUT... mom and FMIL are doing everything, I am not helping! My only 2 requests were that i did not want a brunch I wanted it more of a girls night out thing since so many of my friends/family are married with kids and they would enjoy it more AND that i didn't want one of those old fahsioned white wishing well things, i wanted a fun one made out of something diff (i have been making them for my friends, but they won't let me make my own!)

i know when and where it is. my mother had to tell me where it was because i'm a picky eater, so she wanted my approval. she had to tell me when it was because she didn't want me making any other plans (which is what has happened when she's tried to surprise me in the past)
