Bride of the Week?

I think we should start doing BOTW.....is tis something we can just impliment???


It might be a fun way to amp up this board since were getting so many new brides.

I'm not sure exactly how this works, so if you or anyone knows, please post so we all know what invovled with the BOTW

The BOTW posts a QOTD (question of the day) each day for a week. The QOTD is anything related to the wedding, or relationships, or anything really. Then when the week is over the current BOTW elects a new BOTW. So once it gets started different brides get elected from past BOTW, but I don't know how the first BOTW is chosen.

now I tried searching for a list or something that tells you what the BOTW is supposed to do but they only thing I can see if Question of the Day (QOTD), which I guess each day it's your job to come up with a different question for us to answer.

Is this right? Is there anything else BOTW is supposed to do?

Also, another though, since there aren't a whole lot people that post on the 2011 board on the regular, should we maybe start off by doing a Bride of the Month? What do you all think?

I think that's a good idea. Either Bride of the Month...OR maybe the BOTW could post for 2 weeks instead of 1.

Ok so I asked my FSIL (who is a 10er) what the deal was...

she said that each BOTW is responsible for determining the QOTD and she is also in charge of picking the next BOTW. She has no idea how you pick the first one though.

There is a post somewhere where either the 09ers or 10ers were first doing it...

someone once suggested doing a poll...

OOOH, I think a poll is a good idea for the first BOTW, and I think keeping it at BOTW but having her serve for 2 weeks for now is a good idea.

I think we should stick to weekly. I'm starting to think doing it monthly might be a bit too much for one person (if we have to well just start at the beginning if we run out of girls, but hopefully, we'll have more girls particpating on the board by that time).

So let's just list the general
BOTW Responsibilities

1) Post a QOTD daily (can be WR or NWR) Monday-Friday - total of 5 questions per week (a lot people don't go on here on the weekend).

2) Choose your predecessor.

3) After your last QOTD post on Friday, you will announce the next BOTW (it will give the new BOTW time to think of some questions for the week over the weekend).

Does this sound good to everyone?
FutureMrsCarvell are you up for starting us off this Friday?
