So i was talking to one of my bridesmaid and she is like I only go to my salon and i dont trust many people. LAter on i said that I want all my bridesmaid hair to be done the same way. I personally dont care how its done, i just want it to be the same. They all have short hair so that not a big deal. She looked at me like i had 2 heads.
Is this an unreasonable request? I never even though of them having different hair (MAYBE the maid of honor) Are you requesting that all your bridesmaids have the same hairstyle?

i'm not. i'm letting the do whatever. i have been in weddings where the bride wanted us to look the same and i did what she wanted....it's YOUR day!!

I'm letting them wear it however they want...some girls hate their hair up, some hate it down....I don't want them to feel uncomfortable. IMAO, they're wearing the same dress...that's enough. But as the previous poster said, it's your day, so you do whatever you want.

I hate being told how to wear my hair b/c I feel really uncomfortable wearing it all up. (I have a really round face and look ridiculous with my hair up) That said, I'd do it if the bride wanted it that way.
I'm letting my girls wear their hair however they want. They're all getting it professionally styled (their choice) at the salon with me the day of -- so as long as they'll look nice, that's all that matters. I want them to feel comfortable and look beautiful. They know how they like their hair best. They're spending so much money to wear the dress I picked out, to have their hair and makeup done, etc., I don't want to force them to wear their hair all one way.
At the same time, it's not unreasonable to ask them to wear it the same way. My BMs keep asking me how I want them to wear their hair!
If they can all agree how to wear it, great - if it causes major drama, I'd choose a different battle.
Short answer - no, it's not unreasonable.

I agree. One of my BMs has such thick hair that an updo gives her migraines. I can't do that to her and I don't want them all looking like clones...but it is your day so do what will make you happy!

i am not - but it's not an unreasonable request!! you are having them have the same dresses right? so explain it to your BM that way. and if she resists, let it go... not worth ruining a friendship or wedding over!!

WOW same as me, I HATE wearing my hate up, i also have a round face and hate my ears.
ANd to answer the question yes im letting them wear their hair however they want...Personally i just like that better, I want their own style and personality to show

Im letting them all do what they want. Turns out they all want half up with curls! .....Which is my day of hair style too! Oh well, I trust the stylist to do their hair slightly diff from mine anyways.

PS- id be annoyed if someone told me how i had to wear my hair, ESP IF SHE SAID ALL UP! I never wear my hair all up and hate it that way.

I don't think it's an unreasonable request at all, it's your wedding and everything should be the way you want it! I acutally wasn't sure what I was going to do about this either... one of my BM's has a genetic condition in which her neck is webbed and has a hairline that starts at the bottom of her neck... I know that she is extremely self conscious about it, and I would never make her wear her hair up. However, alot of the girls may want their hair up since it will be August and who knows how hot it's going to be... So therefore, my only requirement for the girls is that they have their hair done in some way, I don't just want it down... other than that, they can do whatever they want!

My suggestion would be, if you want everyone to have the same style then maybe you might want to pay for it and give that to them as one of their gifts
I dont think its fair if they pay for it and they cant decide what they want to do with their hair

I am not having mine all have the same hair. Some people look good with it one way, and others look better another way. I want them to all be comfortable. But, are you paying for them to get their hair done? Then they should do what you want. Its your wedding!

For my wedding I told my bridesmaids to get their hair done how they felt comfortable. Everyone had a different style and they were all beautiful!

I AGREE 100%...if you tellthem they have to pick a hairstyle maybe think about paying for it.

I had my Bms wear the same hair style. I guess I am just kinda anal. It looked really nice and I got a million compliments on how nice my bridal party looked. I also had BMs that agreed it was my choice. I guess if I had a problem with one of them I would let them choose their own. I wanted them all up and me all down. I think you should do it however you please. Its your wedding day and it only happens once.

I WANT MY BRIDEMAID'S TO WEAR THERE HAIR UP. AS LONG AS IT'S UP I DONT CARE HOW THEY DO IT. BUT IT'S YOUR DAY HOWEVER YOU WANT THEM TO HAVE THEIR HAIR DONE IS FINE.

i hate when people tell me to do anything...girls are all doing their hair their own way, getting their own style of dress that suits their figure best (in the same color though) and getting a style of shoe they like the best (same color though)...
