bridemaid hair

So i was talking to one of my bridesmaid and she is like I only go to my salon and i dont trust many people. LAter on i said that I want all my bridesmaid hair to be done the same way. I personally dont care how its done, i just want it to be the same. They all have short hair so that not a big deal. She looked at me like i had 2 heads.

Is this an unreasonable request? I never even though of them having different hair (MAYBE the maid of honor)
Are you requesting that all your bridesmaids have the same hairstyle?

I'm letting my girls do whatever they want with their hair. I wouldn't like being told how to wear my hair. They all have the same dress & I think that's enough matching.

I was in a wedding party where all of the BMs were 'required' to wear their hair up. I thought it was a little silly and I hated my hair that day. I felt self-conscious.

me too!!! I want them to feel comfortable and like the way their hair looks. I'd like their hair to be dressy-looking though and look 'done' (even if they just do it themselves)

no, I told them as long as it's neat and you look nice, I don't care how you wear it! Too many other things to worry about!! Besides I want them to wear what flatters them and what they feel comfortable with.

Personally, I'm not telling them how to wear their hair. However, I would not be offended if a bride asked me to do my hair a certain way, the day is about the Bride, not the bridesmaids so if I were a BM it wouldnt bother me at all.

I'm letting my BM and MOH do whatever they want with their hair...I'm also letting them wear whatever dress they want as longs as it's the same color and designer (colors vary across designers). I just want my girls to feel comfortable. JMO

one of my friends got married and she wanted all the girls to have the same hair... Unfortunately not all of them complied and making up their own hair styles that were similar, but my friend was furious!
My only request was that my girls all have their hair done with curls... I let them pick our their own hair styles. They all had a little different of a style, but you really couldn't tell that much.

It's not a terrible request to have all your girls match, but sounds like at least one will give you a hard time. You then just have to decide if you want it enough to take the fight.

I am letting them do whatever they want just as long as it's neat and nice. I have Kacey coming over to do my hair on the wedding day and my Mary Kay consultant Diane to do my make up.
So, I can be calm and relaxed in preparing for the special day.

hmmm in the beginning i wanted everyone's hair up but now that i think about it - mine is going to be up and to make it different i am letting them do whatever.... i just want everyone to have a great time and be comfy!

I am letting them do whatever they want - one of my BMs has a short bob style - which she might still have next year. Obviously she won't need it prof done, but can something be added to give it just a touch of something special?? Dunno.........

I think there are things worth picking battles over and things that I can let pass. My BMs chose their own dresses (same manufacturer with only a length and fabric request), their own shoes and their own hairstyles. They all looked lovely and appropriate as well as looking like a cohesive bridal party. It was more important to me that they be happy and comfy as opposed to me stressing over what my pictures were going to look like. They were adult women who knew how to present themselves in a formal manner and the two teens in my BP dress better than I do.

I had a butch short haircut about a year ago. Had I been in a BP requiring the same hairstyle on each participant, I may have been excluded altogether. I wouldn't want to throw off the BP hair curve

I am not telling my BMs how they should have their hair - but that was just me. I felt that they were all wearing the same dress and that was enough for me. However, if a bride asked me to wear my hair a certain way - I would do it. Like other people have said - It's your day!!

I agree with the others... I think telling the BMs they have to wear their hair the same way is taking the uniformed look thing a bit too far. My girls are wearing the same dress and jewelry, other than that they can pick whatever they want for hair, shoes, nails, etc.

I've been a bridesmaid so many times, I always knew hair was something I was going to leave to my own bridesmaids when I got married. I told them all they can have their hair done, or do it themselves, either way, they'll be comfortable & I'm sure they'll look beautiful
