Brides wearing gloves

Brides wearing gloves

If you are wearing gloves during the ceremony, what are you doing for the ring exchange part? Are you taking your left glove off, having a slit cut to pull your finger out, or what??

Also, this is probably a super dumb question, but do you wear your engagement ring for the ceremony? What happens when FH puts the wedding ring on my finger? Does it go above the e-ring, then?

Help, please!

They say that you should put your e-ring on your right hand for the ceremony.

Can't help you with the glove thing...sorry!

I don't know about what to do with the gloves, but wearing your engagement ring has many options. I wore it, but wore it on my right hand, leaving my left hand free and clear for my wedding band. I do know people who wore the engagement ring on the left hand and just put the wedding band above it during the ceremony. And, I know people who didn't wear their engagemen ring at all during the ceremony (either gave it to their MOH to hold, or their mothers, etc.), but I definitely wanted it during the ceremony. After the ceremony, my husband privately transferred the engagement ring from my right hand to above the wedding band. It was really cute.

I'm probably going to have a slit cut in the gloves on the ring finger because I think it might be a little awkward (sp?) to take the gloves off in front of everyone.

My sister in law draped her left glove over her arm and wore her e-ring on her right hand. I am considering that or maybe having ring bearer bring both e-ring and wedding bands.

my engagement ring will be on my right hand (as long as my hand doesn't swell from the heat) or someone will wear it for me.

As for the ring part with gloves..I am wearing fingerless ones

at the last minute I remembered to switch my er to my right hand, and I had fingerless gloves which were great.
