Brides who are paying for everything

I am sitting here at my desk thinking wedding like usual and I have to ask.... Is there anyone else who seriously is worried about how they are going to pay for everything???

We aren't paying for the entire thing ourselves but a lot of it and I still freak out about it from time to time. DH keeps saying 'but we got money at the wedding' as he wants to go splurge on all this stuff and I keep saying we have a wedding credit card that's going to be paid off as soon as it's out of 0%

Tell FH to not think like that. At weddings your lucky if you make back 1/2 of what you spent.

FH and I are paying for about 70% of it on our own. I'm worried, he's not. Which worries me even more! I just keep looking at my payment sched and we don't really have much due for the next 6 months (1 hall payment and 1 photo) but after that it's gonna be crazy. I'm saving every penny from my 2nd job that I make and working as much as I can. (Which is why i haven't had a day off since Labor day).

FH told me to worry when he starts to worry. He isnt worried however I am petrified. I mean we can borrow from our parents however I really want to do this all on our own..

Same here, every time I stress about money FH ALWAYS says 'well if we get stuck we can always borrow the money from my parents' and that drives me insane! The thought of coming home from the wedding and then handing his parents our gifts makes me want to throw up. I go through phases, sometimes I feel like we'll be more than fine and other times I break down and cry because I'm so worried about it. You're definitely not the only one!

LOL!!! Everyday I worry about this! I do this stupid thing....everynight when I am laying in bed trying to fall asleep, I think about my wedding day, about getting out of the limo with my dad, making my enterance in the church, FH seeing me for the first time...and then....the panic starts...I start thinking about how much money I owe, how much I have and how big of a difference there is that I still have to pay. I then try to calm myself and say I can pay it, a little at a time...but I get myself into a total panic. Everytime I think I have an idea of the total of everyting....there is something else I need to add to the list!

its funny, yesterday at work i had a major break down, crying and all about all this. thats all i think about and to top it off i have to buy a car in 2 months... my lease is up... i have sleepless night too... i just hope that it all falls in place.

OMG, I was actually going to start a thread about this myself because I freak out all the time! Everything is soo much money! One day, Im like 'we can do this, is a small wedding, we will be fine' the next day I am like 'Ahhh what if we cant pay for this, what are we going to do' I find myself constantly calculating and re-calculating everytime I book a veondr to make sure we can manage the cost. I am just trying to keep the cost down in everything that I do. keep working my second job, not buying anything that is not wedding related and drilling into my fiance's head that we have to save save save! I just want to be rich so I can have a platinum wedding....

I worry about it but at the end of the day I do not let it cosume me. It is what is now.

I am getting my fiance depressed because he loves to go out to dinner on his nights off and the other night, he was like, 'maybe we shouldnt waste the money and just eat at home' and I was like, 'yeah, I think we should be really careful about how much we go out to eat since we are a year away now'. Now, he is all upset..LOL

Sometimes I get a 'will we have enough money' moment, but as long I stay in my budget I will be fine. I dont give into the 'little extras' temptation, because it all adds up

I won't lie I had a big panic attack about this on Monday... but FH and I have saved a ton of money over the last couple of months, and we're going to continue to do so while we can. I am not worried about paying for the wedding one bit.

I AM however worried about where we're going to live... we might be living in a refrigerator box on the curb and eating ramen every night.

Sometimes the Beatles are right... (as much as I hate them) all you need is love... well, love and a good plan. We're putting all the money we can away now... even if we don't need it all, and we're going to try to live like we only have the one salary (even when we have two) So, if something happens we're prepared and won't be shocked by it.

You never know what's going to happen, you just have to work it out.
