Brides who had Infants/Toddlers at Reception - please help

When doing your seating charts, did you include a place at the table for an infant - like a 1 1/2 year old??

I heard that some reception hall will charge you half price if you ask for a meal for any of the kids 4-10 yo.

I know Westbury Manor does and they are only feeding kids things like pasta and chicken fingers. I think it's kinda outrageous for them to charge 50 bucks for chicken fingers. :P It does come out to 100 pp when you're paying taxes and tips. :P

What's everyone's experience with this?
Is it possible to bring in your own food for kids? And how woud reception halls feel about you designating a room for the kids?
