where did you buy them? If you bought online, were they as nice in person as they were on screen? Thanks for your help!

Re: Brides who wore hairpins, not tiaras...
I am having the same problem. I thought I wanted many small hair pins but when I tried them on they did not look as flattering on as they did in some pictures. I have light hair and felt they got lost in my hair and would not show up well in pictures/person. I am trying to find vendors/stores to visit but I am not having much luck either

Thanks! I didn't think of that- my hair is fair too- though more dirty blond. In Roosevelt Field I saw one of those carts in the mall that sells fake hair pieces and jeweled combs, but I didn't love anything I saw, and I want to shop around a bit. I really don't want a tiara- it didn't really flatter me, maybe because I have a round face. But I'll FM you if I come across anything in any stores.

I have seen things on line but I am not really comfortable buying something unseen. Most stores only carry tiaras and that is not what I am looking for. I did see some hair pins in tri-county but I did not really love any of them either. If I find anything, I will also keep you posted

Try one of the Flea Markets on Long Island...there is Tri-County in Levittown and also Attias in Sayville. I went to Attias and some woman was selling them for $3 per pin.
They looked great in person too, I have a pic of my hair trial as well

If you are ever in Brooklyn, go to Sposabella which is across the street from Kleinfeld's. THe prices are expensive, but the pins are beautiful. I just got mine this past week-my mom bought them for me, and I love them. I would never had paid that myself. The woman is a doll in there and we had a nice experience.

I just bought 6 hairpins from Thomas Knoell last night. He makes them just for you and they are gorgeous! The ones I purchased are on the cover of the most recent Bride's magazine. I'm so happy!

I bought mine at Tri County - one style were $1/each, the other (that I ended up wearing) was $2 each (I think, not sure just know they were more than the $1 ones).

Good deal!! I haven't bought mine yet, but know that I know that....I'll take them for no more than $2 per pin!!!
