Brides with Long Hair-
Re: Brides with Long Hair-
I have the same problem, my hair is halfway down my back. When I went for my veil the woman asked me how I'm planning on wearing my hair, and I tried it half up, half down, and it didnt look bad. What I've been doing is modeling different hairstyles in front of my mirror. This might help. Also, would you consider trimming it before the wedding?
Re: Brides with Long Hair-
Tara - I am wearing mine straight and to the side. I am having it blown as straight as possible that morning to avoid any frizzing or curling (mine is VERY curly). I wear my hair in a bun all day every day - so an updo is kind of too ordinary.

Half up/half down seems to be getting popular. I think that if you have a tiara, at least some hair up is pretty.

I have long, very straight hair too. I am doing half up, half down and it will be curled at the ends. Hopefull the curls will stay in all day , because my hair is so straight. I guess it has to be sprayed alot (I can't remember the last time I used hairspray!) I'm not wearing a veil or tiara, but I'm putting white dendrobium orchids in my hair.

My hair is wavy and past my butt. I found a picture of Natalie Portman...it's a hair up, half down and curled look. Here's the picture. This is what I'm thinking of doing!

I think the dress style also is very important. I wanted to wear my hair down too- although not as long as yours- but with all off-the-shoulder gown it didn't look at nice. Try different styles. Call Kristen from Enchante in Smithtown. She does beautiful work.
