Brides with wedding budgets of 10,000 or less

Hi all: I wast just wondering who is on the same boat that me and husband are. we are finally planning our wedding/vow renewal for next year on the anniversary of our civil ceremony.
We are going to have a budget of about 8000 for the whole thing and i'm having trouble finding places that will charge 60pp or less with tax and gratuity included. 78 people, friday night.
Let's share stories and vendors rec's.
Any info in queens or li?

Check out the Hunington Town House, I think their prices are bellow that range. The DJ I am looking into Ralph from Hi-Energy is decently priced. Also I think Duet has a good video and photo package, that is not to badly priced.

Also if you need help with invites I could help you out. I made the invites for my eparty and everyone raved about them

Check out restaurants that do weddings also sometimes they come in a little cheaper.

You could always do what we did-we rented a site and brought in an outside caterer. We rented the Queens County Farm Museum and used Iavarone Bros. for our catering. We had a full cocktail hour, full open bar, 10 entree buffet, cake/italian pastries/cookies for $83.00 pp including the tax and gratituity.
We also used Ralph from High Energy, who was very good.

Edited to say: You can definitely work with an outside caterer to fit a budget under $60 pp. We opted to have 10 entrees-which ultimately help raise the price.

Not sure what your photo situation is but you may want to check out duet.

You could also try a Knights of Columbus hall. The one in Oceanside is really nice. So is the one in New Hyde Park. Some of the other ones leave a lot to be desired but, I have been to weddings at both of these and they were great!

The Sterling (use to be the Imperior Manor) in Bethpage - - but you have to go within the next week because their prices are increasing as of October. You would have to book it quickly - - check it out ASAP.

Did you look into Brentwood COuntry Club? I've never been there or know anyone that had a wedding there, but I have heard that they have a wedding package that includes photo, flowers, food, etc for 10-12,000.

A place like the Brentwood Country Club could work for you - they have packages that include all (photographer, reception, dj, flowers, etc) for a set price that is definetly within your budget.

I have heard good things about Brentwood CC. I live there and I have to say, when you walk into the country club, it's like you in a whole other town. The all inclusive package is supposed to be pretty good.

Make sure if you go to the Brentwood CC ask for Scott. He is the greatest.

Try checking out The Fox Hollow. If you have your wedding on a Thursday and not in May-Sept you can most likely get a deal for about $55/pp.
