Bridesmaid Doens't Want To Wear Makeup?

What to do? One of my bridesmaids wanted to get both her hair and makeup done at my expense.

I mentioned today that I'm only paying for one 'cus I'm doing the same with my other two bridesmaids and I want to be fair to them all.

Well, she then replied that she doesn't want to wear makeup at all then.

What's a girl to do? :(

can you tell her that you'll pay for her hair - and if she wants free makeup - she can go to Macy's - and the Clinique counter will do her makeup for free.

and we're doing makeup at 5am in the morning so the makeup counter won't be open yet. :(

I think make up is a must with pics that day and all.....
Can any of the other girls do her makeup??? Just soemthing to brighten her up......

What if you split the cost of the makeup with her? Is she being snotty about it???

oh... even if she puts on some blush/bronzer ans mascara and lipgloss.thats all she needs.. thats not asking alot!

i can ask her if she won't mind one of the other bridesmaid help her with makeup, I'm just biting my nails now 'cus she's the bridesmaid I've been getting alot of drama from.

i think she's being a brat since it was perfectly ok for her to wear make up as long as you were paying for it. I would tell her fine don't wear anything......she's the one that will look like a dope and not you.....but i'm just spiteful that way......

'cus she doesn't know how to put on makeup and 'cus she she's testing my patience.

i kinda expected this from her after all she has put me through throughout the wedding planning... long story. :(

i totally agree, she said she didn't want to wear makeup after i ask her to choose between me paying for 'the makeup and hair' or me paying for hair and giving her gift. :P

My sister NEVER wear makeup, but I made it a point to tell her that she must wear it that day. The pictures will not look right and she will regret it when she sees herself next to everyone else. She gave in!

My advise, if it is about the $$ that is one thing and she can get help from the other girls, if it is just because she is being spiteful, I would really explain to her that it is a must and please do not give you a hard time about it. She made a commitment to be a part of your wedding and this is just something that has to be done

Thats ridiculous. Can she not genuinely not afford the makeup or is she just pis$ed that she thought you were going to pay for it and now she has to?
If its the former, then I would pay for her. But if its the latter then tell her she is being stupid. Tell her if she wears no makeup while everyone is, she is going to look silly. If she doesn't want to pay, then fine, she can put on her own makeup. Can't someone show her how?

stand her in the back of the group for your pics...thats what we are doing for my FMIL who is wearing a bright teal pants suit from online.....

go with it. she is trying to get you to cave. just let her be the bigger idiot. say to her, ok, if that's how you feel about it, but everyone else will be wearing make up.

in the end, it's not about make up, it's about celebrating your new marriage.

she'll either come around or look 'dumb' for not wearing any. it won't take away from YOU or the day.

ugh...what a BRAT. seriously...why do people have to make things difficult.

i'd let her know that if she doesn't wear a single ounce of MU...then she will be all 'washed out' in the pics, and will look terrible, and draw attention to herself that she doesn't want.

put your foot down on this one---even if the others have to help her...she MUST wear MU that day. i mean seriously, you're not asking for much!

You all might think i'm wrong.....But i think People have to be responsible for making themselfs look good. If she choses not to wear make up She the one who will look badly....Not you! The pictures are supposed to be of you anyway!
