I was suppose to be a bridesmaid for an upcoming June wedding, but the wedding was called off and now I'm stuck with the dress. I paid about $230 for a plum chiffon floor length gown.

We also went with David's Bridal, since one of my bridesmaids lives in Los Angeles and another in Boston. I just picked a color and told them to get something that flatters their body type. I don't think any of them spent over $100, which was pretty amazing.

Have you talked to your bridesmaids to ask them if they have a budget for your wedding, or if they would be uncomfortable spending $200+? I knew that at least one of my bridesmaids wouldn't be comfortable spending a lot, which was one reason I asked them all to choose their own dresses based on a color at David's Bridal.

Ours were floor length Levkoff #775 and #776 and were well under $200 with a $60 alterations cap at Burton's. However, I had a terrible experience with Burton's and would never recommend them to anyone.

I ended up picking a floor length chiffon dress from David's bridal. It looks exactly like the bill levkoff I'm wearing for my friends wedding and its on sale for $129 right now! Posted a pic in my album. Thank you so much for the replies to this!!! :)

i wanted my girls in BL floor length chiffon dresses, but they each chose the style they wanted ... all of them came out to between $186-$240, plus alterations. my girls expected to pay that much, so they weren't upset.
