bridesmaid dress nightmare
I ordered my girls dresses early from a 'salon in East Hills.' I picked it out in November and all 8 of my girls left down payments and got measured by mid January. 6 WEEKS LATER I got a call that from the salon that the dress is not made in that color anymore. Long story short she tried to blame it on the company but it was HER FAULT ENTIRELY for not placing the order until that week!!! Then she had the nerve to try to sell me a dress in a color that SHE said looked like Pepto bismol (sp?) the last time I was there. I ended up getting a refund and I asked her to write down the girls measurements, and guess what ALL of the measurements were off and TOO BIG. I wonder why. .. . .They obviously were trying to rip us off with alterations.
Anyway its all resolved now. I went to Here Comes The Bridesmaid in Great Neck and they are amazing. Irene is fabulous, she calls me all the time to go over details, and just called me to let me know the dresses are coming in May. She also told me that the company confirms your order in 3 days not 6 WEEKS!!!! Phew!!! It's a good thing I started early.
