Bridesmaid dresses- Shops

Going to make an appt. to look and hopefully order Bridesmaid gowns on a SATURDAY in July.

First, anyone know if shops will even be opened on a Saturday?

Anyone ever hear of Magic Moments in Port Jefferson that carries dresses? did a search cant find anything.

Can you tell me the good the bad and the ugly experiences you have had at shops so i can narrow my search and have a plan for that day?

To be perfectly honest I got two of my BM dresses at Commack Wedding Center and then came in without a problem. If you can deal with their RUDE staff I say it's a good place to start

You usually need appts for BM dresses, especially if you are going on a Saturday.

I looked for dresses in NYC. I went to Macy's, Adrienne's and RK. RK definitely had the best prices around. I let each of my BM's get different dresses in the same color. We got 2 from RK and 2 from Netbride.com. Netbride was a few bucks cheaper that RK. But at least $40 cheaper than Macy's!

I would suggest figuring out what dress you want from a salon and then buy them on online. It's SOOO much cheaper!

I second RK- especially if you're just starting to look because they have such a big selection. They are mobbed on Saturdays so get there early (I'm not sure if you need an appointment for BM's- call to check).
Also, they will beat any other price by 5% (no frills program).

I ordered my dress and my BM dresses at Lillette's in Baldwin. Great prices. Great Service. Geri helped us and she is a doll! I love them there! The whole staff is so helpful. They don't rush you or anything.

I went to Magic Moments in Port Jeff to look for a flower girl dress they had on their website (needless to say they dont carry it in the store) It was a bit crazy in there-dresses everywhere!! I found it too hard to look for anything because it was very small and there were dresses popping out everywhere. It is behind the gap (across the parking lot) The people there were super friendly though

ETA: I got my dress as well as my BM dresses from Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point and they have been wonderful to date
