Bridesmaid Dresses...HELP!! Updated with more questions!

If my wedding gown is taffeta... would it be a bad idea to have my girls in an iridescent taffeta dress?
Here is one of the dresses i'm considering, along with a pic of my gown.
Again...it's not ME in the gown.
If we did this bridesmaid dress, it'd be in this color, without the flower pin.

For all you taffeta brides out there... what material are you having your BMs wear??

ETA:
I want the girls to wear silver shoes of their choosing so that they have the chance to wear them again... i think silver works really well with this color. One of my friends does not. What do you think?

hmmm... in that case i think i'll go back to the purple and green poka dotted number from last week...

i don't know what my girls are wearing yet cause we haven't started shopping.. but i think that dress would look great!!

I was having the same issues with the dresses I was looking at for my BMs.....In the end I think it doesnt matter if your dress is similar to theirs.....If you love the dress then go with it!!!!

I think they should look great together, if its the same fabric it helps them blending well together

I think they look great together! My dress isn't taffeta, but my girls dresses are and I love the material! Go for it!

that's what i thought too, but someone told me that it would be too much taffeta or that the bridesmaids and i would blend TOO much...

wow i love it! and the color is gorgeous! Definately goes great with that dress! Im probably having my brides wear satin..based on their personal preferences..they said 'no silk'
