so I posted a few weeks ago. . .. In November I had asked my bridesmaids to order their dresses by January 9, 2010 and I offered to go with them when they ordered it. I figured I would give the a lot of time with the holidays and such, here we are on 1/13 almost 1/14 and I am waiting for one more BM to get measured, I talked to her on Saturday and she has been so busy with work she promised that she would order the dress this week. She did not order the dress yet. I called her on Tuesday and left her a voice mail and I just tried to call her and her cell went to VM after 2 rings – what do I do? The bridal shop wants to put the order in on Friday

Marie, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I told all my girls on November 3rd that I wanted to order the dresses by this Friday, Jan 15th.
I have 2 girls who are just NOT responsive. One who I havn't talked to since July basically. Other than 1 short email in November when she said she would take care of getting measured within 2 weeks and another girl who has what she needs and just isn't calling the Bridal Salon.
This is driving me crazy!
I just don't get people!

well I am attempting to chase down one of them the other.. she doesn't call, she ain't in... seriously havn't talked to her in like 7 months. I can't be bothered at this point

Ugh so annoying!! I have found this to be the most challenging part of my planning so far. I think ppl just get wrapped up in there own lives and forget that this is such a priority to you, especially when things get close. I think the only thing you can do is continue to nag...I was sending email, FB, VM, everything! Maybe you can say, listen everyone is all set we just need your order to process things and offer to go with her, this way she will not only be meeting the obligation to get the dress but now she will have a meeting with you. I'm sorry she's being so difficult. I would just tell her she needs to do it by tomorrow or she won't have a dress.

tell her if she doesn't place the order by friday she runs the risk of not getting the dress and may not be able to be in the wedding. I am so sick of peoples crap it ain't funny

I was in the same situation...had 1 unresponsive BM who had 5 months to get the dress, she dragged her feet, and when I started to get upset with her for not ordering it 10 days past when I asked for it to be order...she dropped out

I had the SAME problem. Best advice I can give you is not to stress it over her being a little bit late - if that's your real wedding date posted then you have plenty of time. It shouldn't take more than 2 months (3 absolute max) for them to come in. The place is pushing the order so they can make their money not because the dresses won't make it in in time.
