This is the stupidest story I have EVER heard! What BM gets her dress fitted while BAREFOOT????? Shouldn't she have had her BM shoes on?
She better NOT get any money for this...totally stupid lawsuit. JMO.

interesting. I think 2million is a bit excessive. Maybe sue her for the medical costs but that is nuts.

Must have hurt though.

Man, and we're all going to feel it the next time we're in a wedding and the bride wants vera wang dresses...she'll up her prices to get back her 2M!
Stupid lawsuit. I got a fishhook in my foot and had to have it surgically removed, I don't think it was worth 2mil.

definitely not worth $2M...but I think she should get something...that sounds pretty painful...and all that time unable to walk around and have fun...exercise...whatever...that is lost time...I think its worth something...BMs...have to change shoes...and they shouldn't be required to do a balancing act...they have to put their barefeet on the ground sometimes...

you always have to shoot big to get just a little bit...

You have to expect pins on the floor in a shop like that! I remember when I bought my prom dress in high school, I was told to wear shoes in the dressing rooms because of pins. 2 million??? Maybe if the store paid for her medical costs, that's it!

I agree - that's absurd, but other suits in the past might prove otherwise. Intelligence and common sense doesnt' always win - what about the burning hot coffee from McDonald's? RIDICULOUS, but she won millions.

If anything, I agree that her medical expenses should be paid, but no more, and certainly not $2M.

Edited to add: once my Conair hairdryer flared up on fire in my hand! My palm got burnt and blistered - my medical insurance covered it and aside from being in pain a few days I wasn't tramatized! Should I have sued for millions too? Well, a few ppl told me to, but I still didn't think it was worth it.

Instead I just use another brand of blow dryers

I bet she gets a pretty large sum! I work in a large retail chain & that use pins & tags for security & I was told that the company pays out usually around $500,000 when a customer gets one in there foot(usually happens when people are trying on shoes & walking around barefoot, I have only seen it happen to one customer in 6 years of employment). And these pins are basically large push pins, no one has to have surgery to get them out, you just pullit out & then they make half million dollars!

She should definitely get something. Of course you have to walk barefoot when getting in and out of clothes. Maybe not $2m, but she should get something for her pain! ouch

I heard it on the afternoon news yesterday and I laughed. I can't believe that made news, I cant believe 2M for it. Its totally ridiculous.

I got a better one, my FI was driving his dad's car and made a right turn and some guy hit the car with his fist then fell to the ground and swore my FI ran over his foot and is suing for $5M. Every single witness told the police the guy is lying and they saw him walk to the car, hit it with his fist then yelled and fell to the floor. Paramedics showed up looked at the guy and in their report they wrote no evidence on the guy's foot or sneakers showed damage. (his foot didnt swell and he was able to move his foot and toes perfectly fine)

WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING

It is just that type of mentality that makes this country HORRIBLE concerning useless and ridiculous lawsuits that just cost the average person MORE MONEY on our insurance premiums.
