Did you guys pick you BM colors based on time of year? I like purple but I am thinking maybe its too dark for the summer. Your opinions please. TIA

You can really use any color at any time of the year. Those rules don't really apply anymore.

I don't think the color matters anymore I am using black in the summer. I think what matters with a darker color is the cut and the length. My bridesmaids dresses are tea length with silver shoes to upbeat the black They will also be carrying bright flowers. So if everything is in contrast to the color, I don't think it matters

it doesnt matter when or where your wedding is. you can choose any color you want and dont let anyone tell you different.

I agree!! IMO- I think the darker colors are so much more richer and classier! I also think they are more flattering!! I know most of my girls would've looked ridiculous in pastels (which tend to make a dress look SO bridesmaidsy)

Yes. My wedding is early June so my girls are wearing a Champagne dress w/ a black sash, pics in albums. I think you can use purple in the summer tho, maybe accent it w/ a bright pink or a lavender

I'm getting married in June and we are doing our bridesmaids in black and white. It really doesn't matter anymore. We were originally going to do chocolate with lime green or pink sashes. My girls were thrilled with black lol
I don't think time of year matters. Purple looks great any time of year!

I was originally having rose because I'm getting married in August but now I decided to have the color wine. I was concerned it was too dark for August but anything goes these doays so I'm going for it.

I chose my colors based on the time of year. I am getting married in October so i chose Burnt Orange for their dresses, but I also have a heavily autumn inspired wedding. I think it more about the time of day and the tone you want to set for the wedding. And IMO purple can be used any time of year.

I am having an early June wedding and I plan on using the colors of sunset which includes mainly fall reds and oranges. I am getting married at the Venetian Yacht and wanted to really play up the colors of the room. There are no rules about color anymore

Im getting married in March.....and some months are just way toooo tricky to even decide what colors to do.....you could go either way. I decided to go more Spring-y with Turquoise and White, but I just could have easily done Winter colors and that would have been fine too. I think regardless of the season, if you love it, its gonna look beautiful !!
