What color schemes are you girls thinking of having? Or what colors do you think go the best together? Are you influenced the season? I feel a bit restricted by the winter season!

Winter themes are so beautiful!! You could do dark blues and silvers, etc. so pretty! I'm getting married during memorial day weekend and am definitely going with a blue theme. Not navy blue, not tiffany blue. Somewhere in the royal blue family would be great. That's about as far as I've gotten lol

oooh I love winter colors! Aside from white, you could do silvers and an icy-blue. If you're a blingy bride you could throw in extra sparkle on snowflakes and things like that. You could also really do any deep color like navy, maroon, plum....I think those are all winter colors.I'm Stine Bean's date twin so I'm a Spring bride! I feel like people usually associate that with pastel colors, but I really don't like pastels! lol...I'm going with a deep purple...like a plum color. I'm not sure if I'll throw in other colors with it, but I know that's my main color.

We're getting married in the summer and we are planning on doing bright pink and orange. I love pink so we were going to pick pink regardless. And when I was googling good color combinations, I loved the pink and orange look together.

I know I want to do all white and ivory flowers with some gold tones...I'm just bouncing around for the bridesmaids but I always go back to black. The ballroom at my venue is all beautiful golds so I think it would go nicely...my only issue is that the main lobby where we'd take a lot of pictures will still have Christmas decorations up, including poinsettias, and I loathe them! I feel like such a grinch but they're my least favorite flower and I hope I can move them for pictures or something.

My venue has a ton of gold so that is a no brainer. I plan on mixing the gold with ivory as well and doing mostly all white flowers. And then my brides maids will probably be a midnight navy blue color I think. I've also thought about throwing in a fig-deep magenta color in there to make it a bit brighter. I know it sounds weird but I've made little color charts and stuff and it actually looks really pretty all together. I also felt very restricted by what color schemes were good for the winter. Right after we book I had a little moment where I got all upset because I couldn't do bright colors lol.

I added a few pictures in my wedding idea's album. The first one has the color scheme that inspired my own. I want to do Navy, Ivory or Nude, Fig/Magenta, and Gold, I sorta like the french blue color too but I think that is getting to be too many colors then lol. I made little index cards for my bridesmaids and put the colors all together on it and it looks really pretty together and I think the Darker Magenta color makes it not looks so dull and dreary even though it is winter and will be dark out and all that.

Re: Bridesmaids Dresses/Flowers
I'm sure if you ask them to they will move them for your wedding and then they can always put them back up. I don't mind them but I wouldn't want them in my wedding pictures either.I originally wanted black dresses for my girls but my cousins wife did black last October and to me (no offense to anyone who has done it) it reminded me of a funeral because everyone was in black. Between the groomsman and bridesmaids there was like 25 people and it just looked like a wall of black with the bride in white in the middle. I think color breaks it up and adds a little something. If you really want black maybe you can do a sash of color or sparkle to lighten it up.

I love the black dresses, but I'm worried about the sea of black too! I just think they look so elegant in photos...Right now it's a toss up between neutrals (champagnes) and black. I took my MOH to try on a few dresses when I first got engaged and she looked breathtaking in a nude colored dress...so we'll see! I'm just worried it'll be January...they'll be pale, they might look naked from far away! Haha

I was also thinking about both black and champagne before I decided on purple. My grandmother is very supersitious and got upset at the thought of black bridesmaids gowns, so that was out for me (but I do think it looks great in pics!). I also love how champagne looks, but I was warned against it only because the bride could blend in with the bridesmaids in some of the pics. The bride tends to pop out more in pics when the maids are in a bright or deeper color. Sorry if I added to your confusion!

I'm getting married in January too and I think I'm gonna have my girls wear silver, but a deeper silver, almost like a slate! I think it'll look great with white flowers! I'm going for winter wonderland haha whites and silvers, sparkle and maybe a touch of icy blue!

I'm gonna do a dark purple/plum for my girls. I love purple so it has nothing to do with winter but it's nice plum is perfect for the winter :) well any dark color really is.

I'm getting married in the summer and I am doing navy and light pink. The girls will wear navy and I want to encorporate pink through a 'Zinfandel' theme, wine things but not red, just blush. For flowers I love pink peonies but I also love the light blue hydrangeas, so I'm not quite sure how I will work those in :)

Stay on top of the poinsettias! My sister got married January 10th an the Christmas stuff was still up at her church. She hated that and specifically asked them not to be there but when she showed up, still there! The hall was pretty good about it, no signs of Christmas. So my advice is just keep bringing it up, they will get the point!

Im doing silver! You can also do slate grey or break it up and do an icy blue. That will look sooooo pretty if you are doing the wintery-icy look! :)Let me know what you decide on! :)
