Bridesmaids hairstyle

Original post by Tromsugar2b

Are you requesting your bridesmaids do a certain hairstyle if your not paying, like a low updo, or down and curly, something general that they can basically do whatever they want within, low updo - theres obviously a lot of differnt styles or down and curly they can do half up half down, the poof etc, for ex. Or your letting them choose whatever?

Anything they want. I'm anal and like things to be the same - I even got them all the same DOJ but with hair is tricky bc everyones hair is diff and I want them to be comfortable and happy with what they have. So they can def chose their own

The girls can wear their hair however they want. They all have such different styles and hair types - they will know what works best for them.

I am leaving it to them.. whatever they want. I got a small clip for them that I asked them to incorporate with their style.. other than that.. go nuts!!

I'm letting them choose however they'd like to wear it. I want them to make sure they feel beautiful too.

Any updo is fine. The dresses have straps so that will look best.

EXACTLY this. Personally, if I were a bridesmaid and someone told me how I needed to wear my hair I would be ticked off. Human beings have different hair cuts, lengths, thickness, etc. I don't think hair physically can be styled the same way and still look nice on everyone. I'd rather all my girls look amazing and still like themselves, plus feel comfortable and gorgeous. They are spending enough money to look beautiful at your wedding, at least they should look like themselves.

I'm telling them to have it up. I don't care if it's high, low, curly, straight - whatever as long as it's up.

This is what I'm doing. I told them I don't care how it looks but I want it up, and off the neck, and off the face.
I wanted some uniformity because after looking at so many wedding pics since getting engaged I feel like it looks sloppy when some are down and some are up and some are to the side and some are half up/down et..... I just couldn't deal!

I feel the same way, I am wearing mine mostly down and wanted theirs completely up, but I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable so as long as they just wear it back somehow then it's fine

It's hard for a whole group of ladies to all pull off the same hairstyle, so i am letting them do whatever. I want them all to be comfortable and feel beautiful.

I'm also letting them do whatever they want. I am of the opinion that if you aren't paying for it, you can't really tell them what to do (not you in particular, just in general)

whatever they want... it's finally my day.. no one is looking at them (as long as they dont dye it a ridiculous color like blue! lol)
