I havent' found any bridesmaids dresses I love so I'm considering letting my 6 BMs pick their own blue dresses. Has anyone else done this? I know other people that have done this with black dresses (I'm actually in a wedding in March that the bride is doing black); however, I'm looking for the BMs to wear cobalt blue or a similar blueish color.
Can anyone post their pictures of girls wearing the same overall color but not the same dresses?
Thanks!

Same material/designer/color, different styles. It's the easiest way to keep all the ladies happy!

Re: Bridesmaids wear dresses they pick?
I did this for my bridesmaids and they all appreciated it and I actually love the dresses they chose. They all came from David's Bridal - the dress colors were two blues. My MOH is wearing Capri and the BM's are wearing Cornflower. I think it's a good idea just because everyone looks good in different things, so why not let them be comfortable for the day? lol.

I did that, i told my girls to choose a dress in satin and chocolate brown, if your bridesmaids choose different fabrics it make them all look different in pictures cause some fabrics are shiner or the colors will be off.
I would at least pick a designer for them because the range of shades of blue is so different. At least black is just black. You also might want them to all get the same fabric (satin, chiffon, etc.) I used Alfred Angelo and told them the color and they got to pick whatever dress they wanted. There are a TON of different designers that have mix and match options so I might try that first.
