Bridesmaids who are big on top

I found a dress I liked for my bridemaids & when I showed one of them she said she was very big on top & not good with strapless dresses....


I didn't even think that this would be a problem bc I know nothing about having big boobs!

Are strapless dresses really a big problem with big boobs or can she work it out?

OR

Should i find a dress with straps for her?

it may be uncomfortable for her.. but most of the time you can tell the dress store and they can sew little spaghetti straps on for you no problem. I'm not 'big' on top either.. I just feel like I am always pulling up a strapless dress so for my cousins wedding I asked them to put spaghetti straps on for me to make me more comfortable.

Yes, depending on how big she is, a strapless dress could be a problem. Can she take fabric from the bottom after getting it hemmed and have the seamstress put straps on for her?? My cousin did this for my sisters wedding, and it looked way better with the straps since she was more comfortable and free to move.

I think it depends on how many bridesmaids you have and whether the BM in question is your MOH or not...like, if you only have three and two wear the same dress and one wears a different one, I feel like the different one should be the MOH (this is actually my exact situation...I picked out strapless dresses and MOH was like 'nuh uh...not gonna work' so I think I'm going to let her pick out a diff one on the same style, and having the other two wear the dress I picked). But if you have like 8 and 1 wears a different dress...I think then you'd be better off having a bunch of different styles (at least 3)

Anyway, I don't have enough up there for it to be a problem either, but I can understand how some of the girls who are bigger on top would feel self conscious about their assets being so noticeable.

you can def find a dress thats strapless that will work for large chested girls. i have a very large chest myself (D cup) and i've worn strapless. the dress my sister had us in was perfect becuase it had the most cup room. i've attached a pic.

yes it can be uncomfortable for her depending how big she is. a lot of strapless BM dresses do come with straps that you can add on or not, so perhaps give all your BM the option of straps and let them decide...maybe you will have a few with and a few without or maybe you would be ok with just her having straps.

my sister is big on top and hated all the strapless dresses she tried on bc she said she wouldnt be comfortable to dance and really enjoy on the wedding day bc she would be too self conscious so she is having straps added

I'm very petite... with some very 34DD (or bigger) and I'm in a wedding in May. The BM dress is strapless and I'm sure it will fall a little bit, but I'm hoping for the best. It shouldn't really be too much of an issue. Strapless dresses are so pretty! Just don't be shocked if you see your girls tugging at the dress to keep it up.

I have some big chested BM and they said the dress was comfy on their boobies Plus they can add cups in the dress to hold them in place.

Did you pick out a dress yet?

I'm a 38DD and I actually PREFER strapless gowns as long as they come up high enough. They usually have good coverage. She'll just need to invest in a good long line bra.

Most strapless gowns do come with attachable spaghetti straps, which are mainly cosmetic. They don't hold the dress up. Strapless gowns hold themselves up, especially with a good bra. The spaghetti straps are just annoying and will fall down. You can probably also have them take some of the fabric taken from a dress that needs to be hemmed and make thicker straps so that she can wear a regular bra.

It depends on 3 things, how big her boobs really are, her bra and the coverage of the strapless dress....You can absolutely still have them wear strapless if the bra and dress are good :)

One of my BM is very large on top, and it was a challenge looking for dresses that were comfy from her. We did go with a strapless dress, and found that the ones that worked best for her on top were either corset where you can make it tight, or a strapless that came up higher than others. We went with Impressions dress 1719 and it looked really nice on her. The next challenge for her is finding a good strapless bra to wear under it

i completely agree the dress is never really held up by the chest anyway. something a steamstress told me is the dress is held up by the torso not the chest. (obviously it helps if there is enough room in the chest to keep it all covered) the torso is where the dress should be fitted too and as long as its not too skimpy on fabric over the chest it shouldnt be a problem

Yes i had straps for my sisters bm dress because i wasnt comfortable wearing it without them

My large chested BM added straps to her dress. She absolutely can not wear strapless due to her size. I'd rather her be comfortable and look put together in pictures rather than having a nipslip and pulling up the dress all night complaining

i did not decide on a dress yet but this is the one that i like so far....i have i think 2 girls that would prob be more comfortable with straps. so can i do 2 girls with straps & 5 without? The 2 girls are not my maid or matron of honor either.

im pretty large up top so for my sisters wedding she had mini straps sewn in to my dress
