Christine, my friend just got married- she went to Salon Gio for hair and makeup- they did a great job and the makeup was only $50.. i dont know why it was sooo cheap but it looked great.

I'm a Brooklyn bride:
Valentina's - Good customer service (so far) very helpful. I ordered my gown from there.
Lestan's- never had a bad experience withh them even though I heard otherwise. I know they can be very unpleasant. I dealt with Collette who was excellent when I was searching for gowns. Never bought anything from them.
Kelly's Kreations- Never had a problem with them but I've heard some rants lately on her customer service and girls not receiving their dresses on time.

beware of Kellys. she quoted me $1,000 more then Valentina for my gown. at the time she was aware that i would be purchasing my dress, 4 bridesmaids dresses, 2 flower girls dress & MOB dress from her.

It's so sad to hear that about Kelly because at one time she was actually ok. JMO!

I haven't seen this thread in a while. Joanna... I go to Mimi's too. I am so surprised we haven't seen eachother. Although, if that one is busy, I hop along to the next or the next... LOL. there are like 4 on Third Ave.
