I'm a Brooklyn girl, but getting married on LI. I have been in two weddings at the Riviera in BKLYN though, so I know some vendors.
Stay away from Lestans on Ralph Avenue. HORRIBLE.
For dress shopping = Valentina Bridal on New Utrecht (got my dress there, and LOVE them), Lotus Bridal on Avenue U (got a bridesmaid dress there; also love them).
Limos = Romantique or Double Diamond are both good.
Flowers = Marine Florists are very professional.
Lestans is horrendous!!!! I went there on Saturday with my mom and got scolded for touching the dresses meanwhile the dresses were filthy looking!!!!!!!!!!
I went to Valentina's on Saturday as well and found my dream dress- however it turns out it is my friend's wedding dress... very disappointing. Valentina is being very nice and trying to find me another amazing dress
you should also try monica's... they were so great there, even though i didnt end up buying there i had a great experience
how was monicas? i wanted to go there. i havent been there since they moved.
it was really great, very clean beautiful store, helpful staff, and great selection
I'm from the Bronx but FH is from Brooklyn, does that count, lol?

lol, I posted something like this last week. There are a few of us on here.
Here are some vendors that others have told me about and that I've checked out.
Divine Studio's for photo/video (Stephen is very nice)
True Love Weddings for photo/video (met them at an expo last night, they do very nice work)
Flowers by Emil (heard he does great work)
Julie's Flowers (works with your budget, but does what she wants not what you want; gave my friend a very nice tall centerpiece for only $60 a piece)
Double Diamond Limo's
Romantique Limo's
Don't go dress shopping at Michael Shane Bridal in Brooklyn, they have too many rules and it's a small store with not a lot of options.

Try Wedding Coach on 18th Ave & 71st Street. There is also Shower Coach on Kings Highway.

Im a Brooklyn Bride!!! So far Ive booked Double Diamond Limos and Im looking into Flowers by Emile. Has anyone looked at dresses at Sposabella? Its in Bay Ridge but I havent heard anything about it.

How about photographers? I went to the showcase at Sirico's and met with Aldo. FH's cousin's album was displayed and it was beautiful. Please reccomend other photographers/videographer in the neighborhood who don't do cheeeeeesy photos.
my friend is using Infinity Photography. I think there on 65th street n 11th ave

For my son's wedding we all used Helene 'The art of Make-up' on New Utrecht Avenue around 75th Street. She does both hair and make-up and she will travel to you if want that.
She did a great job on all of us.

Do you mean on Flatbush and Flatlands? If so, they are really good!
