Brooklyn girls I need help!

I'm looking for a place for our engagement party. Preferably a restaurant. I live in bath beach so somewhere in the bayridge, bemsonhurst, dyker heights area for about 30-40 people. And not too pricey as Fmil and ffil are paying for it. Any suggestions?

I no this isn't bayridge, dyker heights or any of those areas but look into the Brooklyn Winery in Willamsburg. I've never been but I know someone who recently got married there and the inside of the place looks gorgeous. If you look up their website it states that they can accommodate 30-300 people, with a cocktail party, family style dinners, afternoon bites, etc. I have no clue what the prices are like so I'm really no help there! Good Luck :)

Thanks. I need to stay on this code of Brooklyn because my grandmother can't go far. But thanks for the suggestion.

Mama Rao's on 11th Avenue is delish and has great service. The Rex Manor also has a small room and they are very reasonable for a nice dinner. There's always Gino's in Bay Ridge.

Brooklyn girls I need help!

I am researching for my future step-son's confirmation party in October (i need to be doing that in the midst of wedding planning like i need a hole in my head! LOL) I wanted no more than $50 a person (that includes tax, service, etc) The best prices I got were for Bay Ridge manor, Genarro's, Siricco's and Rex Manor. I also got somewhat affordable quotes for Mama Raos' and this new place called Aqua Blu in Gravesend.

I just realized you preferred a restaurant - We needed something a little bigger for 75 people. But try Gino's on 5th Avenue. Their food is SO good and the prices aren't too bad - hopefully affordable for a party.

Brooklyn girls I need help!

We love Gino's food, so my daughter had her engagement party there and we were a little disappointed. The service was very, very slow. Party was 4 hours long and they didn't even serve the first course until we were sitting there for almost 2 hours! The food wasn't up to par, either. It was very salty. I'm sure it was a bad night for them because it is usually wonderful, but we were embarrassed in front of our guests.

Re: Brooklyn girls I need help!

Here are some:

Michaels on Nostrand and Ave. S = great food!

Sophias in Bayridge - good food

Vaccaros is GREAT and very reasonable

Peppinos in Bayridge is great and very affordable

I think Gino gives good prices, but all the others that I listed above have much better food.

Sophia's has amazing food! That's where FH and i had our first date :) Never saw their party room, but i'm sure they can accommodate you. Also look into Buckley's (Ave T and Nostrand) Not italian, but good standard american food.
