I use the Cradle Aquarium Swing constantly.

I use the Baby Papasan sometimes, not all the time
(that's like an infant seat)

I use my stroller a lot! It has the adaptor so the car seat fits on it - so i would say to get a Snap n Go thingie - that's the same idea, and people swear by them

Everything else is just gravy I think! I dont' have a diaper genie, I got rid of my wipes warmer, I dont' use the monitors, I dont' use the sleep positioner. I barely use the Baby Bjorn (though I think that will come in handy a few weeks from now when she's a tiny bit bigger), I don't use the Bundle Me. I never used the bouncer seat, I dont' have a bottle warmer or sterilizer, ...the list goes on and on!

Thanks. We got a baby Papasan. That thing is so comfy. I'm sure the baby's love it.
We also got a little travel swing. I heard those are usually big hits with babies.
We may get another car seat base so we have one for each car.

My DH said he wishes they made one for adults.

If you dont have a swing already, I found the swing to be a lifesaver. But some babies dont like them so if you can borrow one would be ideal, that's what we did.

ETA: I'm a huge Snap & Go fan. It was so wonderful because it was so easy to just pop the car seat into it, it made even small errands not seem like big productions, which they can feel like with a baby in tow sometimes. In fact, I was thinking about how I can use the Snap & Go again and then I realized I was going to have 2 kiddies to trek around with so my S&G days are over. But it's wonderful with the first baby, especially with adapting to the whole lifestyle.

We have a swing too. We're probably going to get another car seat base because I think it would get to be a pain switching the base constantly from car to car. I think they are only like $40.
I can tell you what we got a lot of at the shower. We got tons of bibs and burp cloths.
I think we got like 15 of each.
I'm sure it will come in very handy.

These are all the items I doubt I could have gotten through the first year w/out:
-Swing(!)
-Bouncie seat (great to put baby in when in the shower)
-Stationary play saucer
-Sling
-Stroller (even used this in the house when she was very young)
-Lansinol (for those painful nipples in the very beginning!!)
-Her Daddy!!

I agree with Jenny. There were a lot of items that I never really used.
