BTDT moms: How long do babies .............

.........get to wear 0-3 months generally?
I ask because I hear that for example if you have an 8-9 lbs baby, that size isn't going to last too long.

not too long is right, especially after washing/drying - shrinking...
It really depends on how petite the baby is and how fast he/she grows.

Sean was out of 0-3 after the 1st month. I have so many cute things - some with tags!

He's in 6-9 now at almost 4 months. (He's almost 18 pounds).

It all depends on the size of the baby. I had Emma in 0-3's till she was about 4 months old. FH even put Emma in a 6-9 month outfit when she was 13 months!!!!!

My friend's little girl is very petitte and worn 0-3 for months and months. she was born around 7 something pounds.
I think it really depends on the size of the baby and how quickly the baby grows too.

I didnt have very many 0-3 mth clothes for Luke b/c I knew he wouldnt get much use out of them. But I had a bunch of 0-3 pj's and he wore them for 2 months, maybe 3. He was a 9 lb 3 oz baby at birth. I wouldnt get too many though. With going out clothes, I always rolled up the sleeves or cuffs on the 3-6 mth clothes and they were fine.

Lyla was only 6 lbs when she was born (and lost a few ounces the first few days), so the 0-3 were swimming on her at first. She did wear most of them until she was 3 months old, but I also put her in 3-6 before she was 3 months.
