Hello ladies! Shamma and I are planning on walking in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation walk in NYC on Sunday, Sept. 14th. We were thinking about putting together a group of women from LIW to walk with us. Is anyone interested??

The walk is a 3.1 mile walk in Central Park. I do this walk every year and it is truly wonderful. Ladies you can bring your friends and family to walk with us. Don't forget to download your sponsor sheet and get donations for friends and family.
This year I will be walking in the memory of Leelee's mother.

Thank you for the post!!! I will bring my sister along and we will be walking in memory of my beautiful mom who we lost to breast cancer in '96. I think I might make up a t-shirt with my mom's pic on it.

They give you these pink cards that you can pin to your shirt that says in honor of or in memory of. I have seen people make up shirts with names and pix of people they lost or people who have overcome the battle of cancer, the walk is so emotional. I love doing my part, I am a woman and I care about us and our causes.
