Hello ladies!
Shamma and I are planning on walking in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation walk in NYC on Sunday, Sept. 14th.
We were thinking about putting together a group of women from LIW to walk with us.
Is anyone interested??

Wish I could do it with you ladies, but I doubt I'll be in NY that weekend. However, I will be with you in spirit. AND FH and I and some other friends are doing the Komen Race for the Cure here in DC on June 7!

Fret not ladies we will all walk and talk and enjoy a leisurely stroll thru central park. I am getting excited by the minute.

Allison you will have to take pix for us, we will be walking with you in spirit as well. The one in DC is coming up soon. Have fun.

Febbride, we will celebrate even more when there is a cure.

For anyone that cannot do it, but would like to contribute, make your check payable to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer fund and mail it to either Leelee or myself. If you are interested in doing this just Fm for my mailing address and I will send it to you.

What time is the walk and please let me know if you all are really gonna walk b/c I can't run 3 miles

Ladies this is not a run for our group, this is our walk and we all must try to raise funds for the cause, a minimum of $150 for each of us. Ask friends, family, co-workers.

How do you raise money? I have never done this before.

Does it depend on how much I walk? I am just clueless.

Do I just tell people I am running and would they like to contribute?

Neva, tell people you would like them to contribute to the cause. There isn't any amount of money for any # of miles. Just ask for contribution towards the cause. Remember no donation is too small.
