budget brides making their own bouquets

Have any of you made or are planning to make your own bouquets or centerpieces? If you've done it, how'd it go? I'd love to see pics, and if you're planning on it, where are you buying your flowers? How do you know when to order them so they're fresh on the day of?

i was originally considering this and am SOOOOO happy i just got them at the florsit.

i have 6 days left until my wedding and have TONS to do still. I can't even imagine making bouquets and centerpieces right now.

if you're trying to save money, you should consider flowers from the supermarket (they still look great, they just don't last as long as florist flowers)

Thanks for the input, honestly I'm very torn between whether trying to do my bridesmaids bouquets or getting the florist to do it.

What do you have left? I hear everyone is so busy the week before but busy with what?

LOL - i ain't going nowhere!!!! i'll still be around here (God knows it's better than work )

my to-do list as of now includes buying and making place cards, wrapping up BP gifts, writing thank you's to BP, talking to vendors and figuring out final details, packing up a box to take to RH on thurs with all the stuff (menus, favors, etc), get hair colored & cut, have final dance lesson, pick up dress, get veil steamed, get mani / pedi, and a few other things .....

i never expected to have soooo much to do still, but it seems that my time keeps shrinking, while my to-do list keeps growing.
