what is your budget and when is your wedding? 'budget' means different things to different people. LOL.

wedding is in february and i wanted to keep it under 6K

with 6k you can do a lot. We did brazil for 8 nights at a luxury resort in March/April and spent 6k. Where do you want to really go? I thinkif you want tropical, you can do almost anywhere in the caribbean. Maybe not Tahiti or the Maldives. depending on how much time you have, you could do Thailand or Fiji with that amount too. The cost of flights might determine if its within your budget though. So caribbean might be your best bet at that point. But 6k is def more than doable and you can easily do a week at a 4 star resort.

yea fiji? you think so? FH and i would love to go there

I just typed in NY to fiji 2/21-3/2 and the following resorts came up for under 6k for 2 people with flights. I used Expedia. You might be able to find it cheaper or see if a travel agent can. I have a good one- FM if interested.(Also keep in mind its a looong flight and there is the date line that you cross when traveling I believe) So these are actually 7 nighs at the hotel but 10 nights with traveling. You might be able to find a better flight combo than what expedia shows.

These are all at least 4 stars

Fiji Beach Resort and Spa Managed by Hilton $5180

Shangri-La's Fijian Resort & Spa $4864

Outrigger on the Lagoon - Fiji $4628

Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island $4811

Sofitel Fiji Resort And Spa $4769

Wellesley Resort $4578

Sheraton Denarau Villas $4856

okay there are others, but you get the idea. Keep in mind these dont include food. You may want to inquire on if the resorts have meal plans or not. And check reviews on tripadvisor- some people mention what food and drinks cost.

My wedding was this past February. DH and I booked our HM to Riviera Maya, Mexico with Expedia for 10 days all inclusive and got an AMAZING deal. Well under 6000. We stayed at the Aventura Spa Palace and it was PERFECT. The food was spectacular too. FM me if you want more info.
