I really am clueless about just how much things cost. And it is a bit of a problem as I would like to book my hall asap (since I want a specific date) but don't know how much my budget should be.

Re: Budget Wedding
Figure out how much you want to spend, then go to www.weddingwire.com. They show you how much you should spend on each vendor based on your budget.

Re: Budget Wedding
theknot.com has a great budget breakdown as well.
Only you know how much you want to spend. Of course the most money should be spent on the RH. After you decide on the RH and know how much that is going to cost, you can decide what vendors you want to spend more on. For example if you want extravagant flowers you spend less on the photographer and DJ/Band and adjust accordingly.
DIY projects also help save money.
and no coordinator or DOC can help your budget as well.
Good Luck!!!

Re: Budget Wedding
I used perfect wedding planner & the knot for comparison budgets and timelines. I wasn't sure where to start b/c I had no idea how much things cost, so I did some searches and found the brilliance of LIW. You'll be an expert in no time!
