how many of you are already going over budget? i'm already finding everything i liked to be over my planned budget...
dj- didn't want to go over 4K, spent 4600, but wound up with a jazz quartet for cocktail hour and lighting which i didn't expect
photography and video- budget 6K, looking like 7-7500...torn between two photographers and two videographers
florist- budget 4K, scared to even shop it because i want tall centerpieces and my hall makes me use spitz and peck or stefans, or pay a 1500 bond fee to use elsewhere (aka budget now 2500)
limos- 4K, no idea what to expect, haven't priced and don't know how many i will need, but FH and I def want a private car like a rolls royce from ceremony to reception
honeymoon- A LOT...already have a separate bank account for that sucker
plus we want a photobooth (1K) annnnnnnd we have to tip all these people hahaha

It also helps to find vendors that are friendly with one another if you can- they can also help give you some negotiating power. We did that and it worked out saving us a bunch of $$.
What florist did u book with??
Lovin Oven Floral Designs. Keyth is amazing and really helped us shape our vision. Our flowers are very inexpensive b/c of the deal we got from the RH. We are getting a ton for our money. I absolutely recommend them!!
Thats is great! Im checking out a rec florist frm my RH and a rec florist from Gil. Hoping to get a good deal at either of the 2 places.
Gil is awesome- he found us a graphic artist for our STDs. Good luck with your florist searching- let me know how it goes!! [/ QUOTE]
Oh really? That is awesome! Did u have them designed yet?
I will keep u posted!
Do you have the info on your graphic designer?
You have FM for my Florist and Graphic Designer.

Re: budget woes
We TRIED (key word here) to have a budget.... but when you have both sets of parents wanting more people than you really think you need it gets a little difficult.
So far, I think I am managing alright though... Coupons and making my own STD (Michaels have magnet STD that you run through your computer printer for $9.99 for 30 of them ) and they always have coupons
for CP's, we are just doing candelabras that we found in a candle factory that gave us a great deal. I think I am spending a TOTAL of $300 for them and the candles(and we are having like 20 tables)
It's hard, but I am looking for every thing I can do on my own to make to save money...
I even have a collection of bottles/cans for recycling. Everyone at work is helping with that one. It's kinda funny, but its the best present they can give me and it adds up. Within a month, I have over $20 saved than I thought we would have.
