i feel so bummed right now because i dont think that my wedding has a theme really. im just picking things that i like (ok well ideas, i dont have much in the way of 'things' yet). I know i want it to have a very romantic feel, bc of the room with the dark wood and candles, and because of dress but other than that.......nothing.
I need direction ! LOL

Don't feel bummed. I don't really have a theme either. I just used my colors as the theme and went from there. I am also planning to add a lot of personal touches to the wedding.

How about a victorian or fall theme? Old hollywood glamour? Black and white? Beachy? Floral? Relaxed and rustic? Upscale? Retro?

i don't really have a theme either. I was gonna do a fall thing but my main colors are dark purple with sage green MAYBE fuschia accents. So it might look like hodge podge. I'm just kinda going with my colors. I might do some wine-themed favors. LOL I don't know, I'm probably gonna have a mix of stuff!

i feel the same way. i really love green purple and ivory but my RH has so many gold and dark reds and orange tones that i dont think my colors really mesh well. Now i am contemplating a burnt orange reddish brownish color and embrace the whole fall theme but i dont love it i feel ya maybe we r just thinking about it too much

aww, dont feel bummed. just keep collecting things and then create an inspiration board and see what kinds of themes come out of that!

dont be bummed! A color or feel is a theme too. You can pick something that has a common thread with all the things you like i know we are usually drawn to certain things over others. You absolutly dont need a real theme for the wedding i would just make sure the stuff in consistant.

Honestly, we put so much thought and detail into making everything fit together and going with our 'themes'... and usually noone notices!! LOL I can't tell you a theme of one wedding I've been to until I started planning myself.

love your ideas. Originally i was going for a black and white (bms will be wearing black) with my flowers being diff shades of red roses, but now i think that black white and red might be too christmas-y ya know? i dont know i think everyone might be right about the over thinking things...ahhhhhh i need to take a wedding planning break i think

These are the colors I am doing but I added some dark and light pink to the red flowers to make it less wintery looking. I was going to go with fall colors but I really love the elegance of a simple black and white wedding. I dont have a theme either so dont worry! I am randomly picking things that I dont even know go together. I just know that somehow on that day everything will fit together and if it doesnt I will probably be the only one to notice!
Dont stress too much over it, I am sure no matter what it is going to look beautiful. The only thing that matters is that you are happy with what you pick! If you need pointers I am sure you can look online and get ALOT of ideas. ( I personally dont do this because it makes me feel overwhelmed and also question myself!)

I wouldnt say i have a 'THEME' either. Im a winter bride & im calling my wedding winter love 7 elegance because of what i choose & the colors i picked out. The personal touches that sum it up. But its not really a theme!

Don't be bummed! I am also getting Married 11/7/09 and I am having Red, White and dark dark red as my colors, I think that that deep red is very festive for the fall. I think its an alternative to browns you know. Don't worry you can find alot of great ideas on this website too!

Don't feel bad...sometimes it's almost better not to have a theme. I'm doing a victorian winter christmas venetian carnivale theme

I don't really have a theme. The wedding is late May and our colors are green & white so I've been calling it a spring/garden theme I gotta be honest, I can't recall any themes from any weddings I've been to over the years so don't even worry about it!
