It is hard to get anything off of Napster now but you could try Imesh and Bearshare. I am not sure of the exact web site addresses but you should be ablt to find them pretty easily if you do a search. Both work the same way that Napster did.

CD favors

I too am doing cd favors. I ended up using all songs that I had on cd or buying what I didn't have. The problem has been getting someone to do it. My FI doesn't want to buy a burner so we 'hired' someone. They are charging us $1 a CD and we have to buy the disks. Am I getting ripped off?

CD favors

Depending on the equipment and number of songs its probably takes about 10 minutes to burn 1 CD. That means that for $1/CD they are being paid $6/hour to burn your CDs...so that seems like a good deal to me. Depending upon the # of CDs you need, you may be able to buy your own burner for about the same price. You can get a pretty good CD Burner for less than $200.

Thanks for all the helpful responses, ladies! Someone asked for a song list, we're still working on it. but here it is so far. At Last-Etta James Can't Take my eyes off you-Frankie Vallie and the 4 seasons (I sing this to him while we practice dancing, unfortunately I only know half the words) Why can't this be love-Van Halen (grooms pick, but a good one for the entrance) Maybe I'm a Amazed-Paul McCartney & Wings PYT-Michael Jackson You're all I need to get by-Marvin Gaye and Tami Terrell Crush-Dave Matthews Band (from our first date) We're still narrowing the rest of it down. Brian wants more party songs, I want more romantic stuff. We plan to close it out with Christina Aguilera's version of At Last from the Men Strike Back concert (VH1, last year) if we can find it. It's our compromise as I wanted the original and he wanted that one. =D

Here is our song list....

How long is your cd?? I have 13 songs on mine and it is about 62 minutes. -Baba O'Rilley: The Who (our entrance song) -September: Earth, Wind, & Fire -First Time Ever I Saw Your Face: Roberta Flack (our first dance) -At Last: Etta James (seems like everyone has this one) - She's Got A Way: Billy Joel (a fellow Long Islander, he was a must) - In your Eyes: Peter Gabriel - Head Over Feet: Alanis Morrisette - Summer Winds: Frank Sinatra -With or Without You: U2 -Crash: Dave Matthews Band -Volare: Dean Martin I know I'm missing at least 2, but that's the jist of the list!! It isn't too lovey, dovey, because I didn't want people to get sicklistening to it.
