Re: Burtons Flowers

I don't have pictures yet! I am using them for my Nov 2004 wedding so I have awhile. Goes to show you though how good they are-I booked them in 2002!! I heard such amazing things about them and they were all confirmed when I went there with my mom a couple of weeks ago to meet with Micheal. He was so nice & affordable. The big thing is that they allow you to pick whatever types of flowers that you want and there is no extra charge! Give them a call @ 631-424-3377 They are in Melville, closer to Huntington on ROUTE 110!!

If you do a search on here for them, you will find a ton of stuff. They don't have a website though...they don't even advertise!!! Good luck!!

Re: Burtons Flowers

Just made an appointment to meet with Burtons for Sat, Jan 11th. The guy seemed very pleasant on the phone.... I'm probably way too early with Flowers but it sounds like this guy really books up.

Re: Burtons Flowers

While this is not my favorite photo of me, it shows off the flowers
Here is my enterance arrangement (not the candles, just the flowers)

My favorite from the wedding was my Mom's purse corsage, instead of a wrist corsage

I was very, very happy with Burtons.

Re: Burtons Flowers

I PMd you Betty.
I had 3 shades of purple roses, a touch of peal centered white stephanotis and something around the edges (I forget what it is called). My girls had no stephanotis but had lavendar fressia instead. Also I had 8 BMS and there were different BM bouquets. My MOHs had replicas of mine but had the freesia instead of steph. Then I had 3 other types made; each one with only 1 shade of purple roses. That way I had 2 girls carrying lavendar roses, 2 carrying blue bird and 2 carrying blue curiso. It looked really beautiful. Also, all of the bouquets had snowberries in them.

Re: Burtons Flowers

Jeng-

Can you tell me what flowers were in your bouquet?? I'm planning a fall wedding (November 8, 2003) and was looking for fall colors....what color were your brides maid dresses if you do not mind me asking???

Do you have a picture that shows your bouquet a little better?? What did your bridesmaids have??

Lastly, this is a personal question so if you do not want to asker that if fine. But how much did you spend?? I have limited budget...but small wedding party (1MOH, 2BM, 1Best Man, 2GM and 13-15 centerpieces)

Re: Burtons Flowers

Hi Regina!

We had 4 BM and 4 GM, around 12 bubble vase centerpieces, 2 FG baskets, 2 church arrangements, and my boo-k. If I remember correctly it was around $1100-$1200.

The flowers in my boo-k were roses and calla-lilies. The BM carried the same colors, minus the white and plus the blue. They were calla lillies, roses and delphinium (smaller blue flower). Their dresses were a raspberry color. I don't have any pictures of the BM dresses, buy here is the designer's web page. The color is called raspberry-regent blue. It's a very pretty color, and matched the flowers really well.

Here is the only other pic I have scanned....

From what I've read, if you don't have an exact idea of what you want as far as flowers, Burton's is great. In reading the reviews the brides that have a very specific 'vision' weren't generally happy with the results.
I hope this helps.

JenC

Re: Burtons Flowers

Search for my post from 12/7. I posted pictures of my centerpieces and chuppah. They were beautiful and I was thrilled but the pictures don't do it justice.

Re: Burtons Flowers

Jeng

Don't have anything specific in mind..though I would like Calla Lilies and fall colors...which is what caught my eye about your bouquet...

I haven't picked out BM dresses yet or for that matter a wedding dress...Just trying to get an idea.

I've looked in Bridal Reflections for both dress (very expensive), and the first wedding dress I tried on I fell in love with. Two problems, 1 really really expensive (I'm talking riduculous) and 2 it was part of a trunk show so only had two days to decide. In the end decided against it (the dress would have been 1/5 of my wedding cost). So the search begins again....

Your price for flowers seem reasonable though..
