My alterations are included in the price of my dress. I need very little done and the length is fine. I got charged 100 dollars for the bustle. Isn't this an alteration or do most places charge for this.

im confused..what kind of alterations would you need for a bustle? isnt that the part of the dress that just drags in the back?? why would you need to alter that? its not going on your body..?
The train drags on the back, but you need to pin it up for the reception so people don't step on it...they put in buttons or ties, its called a bustle.

thats crazy! shouldnt the dress designer already have some type of feature in the gown that allows for the bustle to be tagged to the dress ?? isn't that like..common sense?
Why should we pay extra to simply have the bustle altered when it should have been there in first place?? Screw that!!!!!!! I was looking at some dresses and most of them have a little button on the back of the dress that you can pin the bustle to...I refuse to pay $$ to have that 'fixed'...I don't consider that an alteration either!!

there are all different types of bustles. Every dress I've tried on in a store that had a bustle on it already was due to the store adding it for a trunk show or bridal show.

Re: Bustle
I bought my dress at lilletts and they told me that alterations were included in the price they quoted me but I have to pay extra for the bustle it depends on the length of the train they told me.
