ask them at your dress shop. they probably know what looks best on that style of dress.

Re: Bustles
i feel like french bustles always look a little different depending on the style of the dress and the fabric.....when i tried on my sample i made them bustle it for me and they did a french bustle and i loved it.....

Re: Bustles
what about an overbustle? a lot of times it doesn't even look like you have a bustle (so it's good if you don't really like the way they look) - very simple.
Honestly no matter what you think you want--your seamstress will know best. I was dead set against a french bustle---and wanted an overbustle---but in the end she let me know it wouldn't work right with my dress--and I loved the bustle she did!

ok so I have decidedI dont like bustles ....do I have any other options lol???
My dress actually has a detachable cathedral length train that is held on by 8 hook and eyes. After we walk into the room my attendants are taking off the train and the back of my actual dress has a ton of detailing on it. By the wedding i will have lost close to 80 lbs and i didnt want a bustle adding bulk to the butt i just lost.

Re: Bustles
Stupid question:
So if you want your train for the ceremony & want it bustled for the reception, can you do that?
or is it a done deal once you get it alt?

you have your train for the ceremony... and then you bustle it afterwards. it's usually done with either hooks or satin buttons. you can do it and undo it all you want... except for the fact that sometimes the loops that hold the bustle up break. but it's not a permanent thing at all.

Not many other than doing a bustle- if not your train will drag and make it hard for you to dance and walk around. You'd be walking around holding your train all night..lol An option is a second gown with no train or a shorter train that may not require a bustle.
Personally I like the ballroom one but going to let my seamstress decide.
