Re: Butterflies???
its a cute idea but a PITA! you get them frozen, you abve to keep them frozen till the day of, and half of them are dead when you open them up. my friend did this for her daughters wedding and she said it wasxn't worth the hassle. you don't want the doves? pooping aside.

Re: Butterflies???
IMO butterflies are a really bad idea.
1) They usually get caught in the net and don't fly 2) A bunch just die or fall to the floor which isn't very romantic 3) From a nerdy science prospective it's really bad for the environment because it throws of the migration patterns of Monarch butterflies so instead of migrating they all just stay and die.

don't do it please, they all die in there it is so sad
i LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Butterflies - yea they do die in there you pay money for them and most of them dont live and once you touch their wings its over for them..
Definitely look into it because my friend released butterflies at her wedding but there was only about 2 of them left by the end of the ceremony they all died.

Re: Butterflies???
im doing these in white since there is no real clean up...just have the guests throw them out
Ohhh I was actually just talking about this with someone. The butterflies look so beautiful in pictures, but I was told that the poor little things barely make it out of where they are held.. and end up all over the church steps immobile and stuff. :( Very sad.

How about bubbles or ribbons before the doves? Did you see my post earlier about the pooping? LoL I looked it up and got an answer from one of the Dove Companies

Re: Butterflies???
I love butterflies and really wanted to use them as my theme. I looked into doing the release but it was too $$$. I have seen it done really nice but you do have some that are dead so I don't think it is worth the money. I am probably going to do bubbles and maybe streamers.

Re: Butterflies???
I was thinking about doing this as well but didn't for a few reasons.
1. $ 2. Possibility of dead butterfly's 3. Sept. can be an iffy month with the weather. Might be too cold. 4. If it's warm but rains then what??
There were too many what if's.
