I know my VYC girls are going to kill me but I think (after already booking) I picked the wrong RH... ...I had the opp. to see Chateau La Mer and I think I'm in love....
Luckily I don't think CLM has my date available...

Re: Buyer's Remorse...
If VYC is in Suffolk County and your wedding is at least 6 months away then you can get all your deposits back except for $100... I don't know anything about VYC and I'm sure it's nice but make sure you're happy with your decision!

VYC is stunning and beautiful! You will have a beautiful wedding
But if you really want to change halls, you can get back your deposit if your wedding is more than 6 months away.

Re: Buyer's Remorse...
you have to be totally happy with your RH so if you aren't, then inquire about getting your money back. You may not get the same day at CLM but maybe a diff day in the same month is avail??
Good luck!

Re: Buyer's Remorse...
you know whats a little funny....i booked CLM and had a little buyers remorse when I saw VYC ...but CLM gave me an offer I couldn't refuse...maybe you need to go back to VYC and realize why you fell in love with it to begin with

Re: Buyer's Remorse...
I almost booked with CLM, but we didn't care for the salesman and we thought he wasn't the best with explaining everything. The we saw VYC and we were in LOVE!
Good luck!!! I hope you stick with VYC, but make sure YOU'RE happy!!!!

Re: Buyer's Remorse...
I think a lot of us go through this.. I had thoughts like maybe we booked so fast.. maybe didnt see enough halls, etc...but I know there is a reason why I chose my hall..and they really had everything we were lookin for.. If your not totally inlove with your place then i would def check what CLM has to offer just for peace of mind.. im sure you will make the right decision.. both halls are gorgeous so you cant go wrong either way.. good luck!!:)

My contract has a cancellation fee clause of $2500 so is that no longer allowed?

I'm pretty sure its illegal for them to put that clause in since its in suffolk county. i would call them on it.

Re: Buyer's Remorse...
Just looked at my contract & it says: If cancellation occurs in more than 6 months from wedding date the cancellation fee may not exceed 5% of the total contract price or $100, whichever is less plus actual expenses reasonably incurred. If cancellation occurs less than 6 months, then Suffolk County Law will apply.'

Really? What about Nassau County..?
my FH and I were looking into waterfronts too since I always wanted to get married near the water but after deciding on a March wedding ( the month we met, off peak mth etc etc) - i though Westbury Manor would be best.......
but our hearts are @ the Riveria or CLM for May/June...
