Cable TV and Internet Access: What company do you use?

We use Cablevision. Are there other choices for Western Suffolk (specifically Kings Park)?

I am supposed to be using Verizon DSL --- but it is taking them forever to set me up!! They test your phone line for 5 days before they will send you the DSL kit -- crazy!!

We use Direct TV for cable and Verizon for DSL.

I'm in Queens so I have TW.

I had verizon DSL for a long time. it NEVER worked right. It was always down and slow, it was awful...customer service didn't really care as there wasn;t much they could do. They kept giving me free months to make up for the time I missed, but it NEVER worked..everyone i know who ever tried it left within a few months. I really gave it a chance, but it's awful. I'd def. go with cablevision

I had Verizon DSL in my last apartment and it was great there but when I tried to move the line to this place (same phone #) all hell broke loose. It took me 3 months and 8 million phone calls for them to figure out why my access order never got processed even though they did manage to charge me for it and another 3 months to get my money back

The ironic thing is that the day the service was supposed to be cancelled (I called to confirm that it would be) the nicest person from the Retention Dept got on the line to convince me to stay with DSL. I told him if you could have a tech in my house and have the service installed and working by the end of business that day I would consider it and went on to explain that until the day of cancellation, no one at verizon seemed to care one bit about my business or service.

Cablevision for both. I am really happy with the online service, but not with the cable itself. I think they are charging an arm and a leg these days. I know people who have DirectTV and it seems like you get A LOT more for not that much more money. If I watched a lot of TV, I would probably definitely switch over.

We have cablevision for both. We're thinking of looking into other companies too.
